Moze Hookahs

Moze is one of the youngest brands in this shop and one of the most talked about. Founded in Mainz by Moritz Otten, it arrived in late 2018 with the Breeze One and has spent the years since turning modularity into a design philosophy.

The Breeze Two and Its Four Purges

The Breeze Two is the model that made the brand, and its headline feature is a purge element you can reposition.

Move it and you change where the smoke exits: above the base toward the ash plate, below the plate toward the bowl, above the plate toward the head, or the classic route the original Breeze used. Same hookah, four different behaviours — and a genuinely good-looking one either way.

It sounds like a gimmick until you use it. Purging above the plate keeps smoke away from the table. Purging low keeps it away from your face. Which one you prefer depends entirely on where you smoke, and being able to change your mind is the point.

Varity: Lounge or Squad

Where the Breeze is about purge options, the Varity is about configuration. It comes in two chamber versions.

1. Lounge — a single hose port, sized for one or two smokers
2. Squad — four ports, built for a group

Add the interchangeable resin stems, mouthpieces and rings and the number of possible combinations gets fairly silly. That’s exactly what the name is referring to.

The Rest of the Lineup

Dash and Sphere take the same engineering in different directions. One is compact and stripped back; the other is built around a distinctive rounded chamber. Both share the brand’s core parts, so accessories generally carry across between models — which is a real advantage if you end up owning more than one.

Materials You Notice

Moze doesn’t limit itself to metal, and that’s part of the identity.

V2A stainless steel handles the smoke path, so nothing corrodes and nothing taints the flavour. POM polyacetal forms the base — it’s light, doesn’t hold odours, resists corrosion and needs almost no upkeep. Carbon and epoxy resin cover the visible surfaces, which is where the colour and depth come from.

Later Breeze Two runs also introduced a stainless steel base, for anyone who wanted the extra weight and heft under the hand.

Build It Your Way

Almost everything unscrews and swaps. Change a sleeve colour, change a mouthpiece, change a ring, and the whole feel of the pipe shifts without buying a new one.

That’s a sensible way to own a hookah for a long time. It also means resale parts are easy to find, and that a small accident — a cracked sleeve, a lost ring — doesn’t write off the setup.

Cleaning a Modular Hookah

More parts means a slightly different routine, though not a harder one.

Take the stem fully apart rather than trying to brush through it assembled. Warm water and a body brush handle the steel; resin and POM components need only a wipe and should stay away from harsh chemicals. Dry every section before reassembly, particularly threaded joints, since trapped moisture is what eventually causes parts to stick.

Do this every few sessions and a Moze stays looking new for a very long time.

Buying Into the System

Worth thinking about up front, because Moze rewards commitment.

Once you own one Moze stem, the accessories become considerably better value — sleeves, mouthpieces and rings carry across models, so a second pipe costs less to personalise than the first. That’s deliberate, and it’s why owners tend to accumulate parts rather than replace the whole setup.

The flip side is that the specialised components are Moze-specific. Generic sleeves won’t fit, so plan to stay inside the system for the parts that make these hookahs interesting.

If you like the idea of a hookah that changes with you, that’s a fair trade. If you’d rather buy once and never think about it again, the Breeze Two on its own is already a complete pipe.
